Burlington continues to grow and evolve. As participation patterns change and demand for recreation spaces increases, the City must ensure its policies remain current, responsive, and aligned with community needs. The review will help establish a modern framework for allocatingour limited public recreation spaces while balancing fairness, transparency, accessibility, and operational realities.
This project focuses on:
Reviewing and updating the City’s Facility Allocation Policy.
Developing a new Affiliate Group Policy.
Developing a new Exclusive Use of Amenities Policy.
Creating supporting procedures, tools, and guidance to assist with implementation.
