A truly Community-centric Family

Hello and good day. The purpose of this correspondence is to offer an account of unsung heroes, within Burlington.

I would like to share the wonderful example set by the Skinner family (Tyler, Danya, Carson, Kelsey and Crosby - and their furry kid - "Ozzie").

We have been neighbours of the Skinner's since, 2009. We have watched their kids grow into considerate and conscientious citizens of this city. Their kids have held down the Burlington Post delivery route on our street for as long as we can remember. Timely and always delivered with a smile, the Skinner kids have been excellent ambassadors for promoting the news of the city, through the Burlington Post.

Tyler and Danya's resolve as a couple is exemplary. Life throws challenges at every one of us, it is how we respond to those challenges that define us.

For those who know Tyler and Danya, what is understood need not be discussed. They are both pillars of strength and an inspiration for how to effectively manage adversity - and do so with a smile.

During these difficult times of uncertainty, the Skinner's have sought opportunities to help others. They contributed their time and talent in concert with other neighbours, to construct a skating rink for families of our community. The rink was a safe and fun opportunity for families to get outside for some exercise, while adhering to current public health guidelines.

Recently, a neighbouring family suffered the untimely loss of a family member. Tyler and Danya organized a neighbourly response to extend our condolences and offer support - as a community. Their leadership and compassion was truly inspirational.

We will be leaving the city of Burlington very soon, to move to our new home. It has been our pleasure and privilege to have such thoughtful, caring and truly outstanding neighbours as the Skinner's.
