The City of Burlington is conducting a review of its Procedure By-law. The Procedure By-law is a bylaw that governs how Council and Committee meetings are run and details the decision-making process of Council. The Procedure Bylaw makes sure the City’s Council and Committee meetings have consistent, collaborative decision making by establishing transparent and accountable governance processes.

The Office of the City Clerk is conducting a review of the Procedure By-law and is looking for community input on the sections of the by-law pertaining to the public. Your feedback will considered as part of the review and help us improve our meeting experience.

It does this by establishing transparent and accountable governance and includes information about:

    • membership,
    • scheduling,
    • agendas,
    • voting and
    • public participation.

    The Office of the City Clerk is doing this survey to gather feedback from you about the Procedure Bylaw. What you tell us will be used in our upcoming review of the bylaw. Alternative formats are available upon request.


    Your participation in this survey is voluntary.  Individual responses will be kept confidential.
