The final drafts of New Residential Zoning Bylaws are available for review
The final drafts of the two recommended bylaws are available for review:
- The Burlington Residential Zoning Bylaw will adopt the proposed Residential Zoning Bylaw. This will apply to residentially zoned lands that are not near a railway or rail yard.
- The Burlington Residential Zoning Bylaw Near Railwill adopt the proposed Residential Zoning Bylaw. It will:
- apply to residentially zoned lands that are within 300 metres of a railway,
- 1,000 metres of a rail yard. and
- will apply holding provisions to those lands to ensure land use compatibility.
There are draft maps for each bylaw:

- Interactive Mapping for the updated zoning maps
- Please note that Zoning By-law 2020 remains in effect. The Final Draft of the proposed text and new Zoning By-law Maps are to be considered by the Committee of the Whole, and City Council.
- None of the text or maps contained within these links have been implemented. This information is for consultation purposes and may change following consideration by Committee and City Council and public feedback.
Attend or watch the Public Meeting
Final draft bylaws will be presented to the Committee of the Whole. The recommendation is for approval of the New Zoning Bylaws.
