Final Draft of New Residential Zoning Bylaw Update

This fall, we shared Report DGM-69-25 with Burlington City Council. Our original plan was to present Council with the final bylaw in December.

We’re taking some extra time to engage with you, review your feedback and prepare our final recommendations for the New Residential Zoning Bylaw. Not only do we want to get it right, but we also want to make sure we give enough notice for another statutory public meeting.

We’re planning to hold the next statutory meeting on:

Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026

This is another opportunity for you learn about the latest work on the New Residential Zoning Bylaw. We will present:

  • The final draft bylaw as recommended for council adoption,
  • A summary of the feedback heard since early July and our response to the feedback and
  • An overview of the revisions made to the new zoning bylaw final draft.
