Upcoming engagement opportunities: Help us understand how construction noise affects you
At its meeting on June 23, 2026, Burlington City Council directed City staff to look at the process and considerations for regulating construction and its impact on residents.
As part of this work, the City wants to hear from community members to better understand how construction noise and hours of work affect those who live in Burlington. The City is also engaging with members of the construction industry to better understand how reducing permitted construction hours could affect public and private construction projects.
How to get involved
Food for Feedback – in-person engagement on Sept. 12
City staff at the Bylaw Compliance booth will be engaging with event attendees at Food for Feedback to hear about their experiences and perspectives.
Online survey – October 2026
Following the in-person engagement, the City will launch a more fulsome online survey in October. The survey will provide Burlington residents an opportunity to share more detailed feedback about construction noise, hours of work and potential changes.
The survey will be available on this page when it launches.
Your feedback will help inform the City’s review and report to Council on construction noise and hours of work in Q1 2027.
Thank you for your contribution!
