New Rideshare and Taxi Service Survey!
The City of Burlington is reviewing its Public Vehicles Bylaw (20-2009) and wants to hear from you. Since the bylaw was last updated, the introduction and expansion of rideshare services such as UBER, LYFT, Scoot, and Hopp have changed the way residents and visitors travel within the city. Both services play an important role in helping you get to where you want to go. The City invites you to share your experiences with rideshare services, taxis, vehicles for hire (limousines) and accessible taxicabs. This feedback will help us update our bylaw to ensure it reflects industry changes and meets the changing needs of the Burlington community.
The collected information will help Burlington City Council and City staff determine how to adjust rideshare licensing and regulations to make these services more accessible, safe, and reliable for everyone.
A report and draft by-law will be presented to Council in fall 2025.
