The WMS will, for the first time, provide comprehensive 20-year strategic direction for the management of all City-owned woodlands in response to the challenges and pressures they face. Specifically, the WMS will provide:
• baseline information on the current state of Burlington’s woodlands 1-hectare in area and larger
• a long-term vision for the City’s woodlands
• management goals, recommendations, and targets
• forest management plans that will guide the management of individual woodlands
