Significant Tree Maintenance Rebate Pilot Program – Feedback Survey

The City of Burlington is seeking feedback to help evaluate the success of the Significant Tree Maintenance Rebate Pilot Program. Your input will help shape potential future phases of this initiative.

Launched in early 2025, the pilot program helped residents maintain significant trees on their property by subsidizing 50 per cent of maintenance costs, up to $1,000 per tree, per property. The pilot program was approved by Council with a $25,000 budget funded through the City’s Green Initiatives Reserve Fund.

Results from this survey will help shape a report to Council early next year to determine if the program was successful and whether it should be expanded, made permanent, or ended.
