The Burlington Downtown Parking Plan has now completed the first phase of the project. Read the Existing Conditions and Needs Assessment Report for details on key findings from the parking inventory and utilization, and the key themes that have emerged from our analysis to-date.
Phase 2 has now begun, which includes detailed analysis of future parking needs and the development of a strategic plan for parking operations and management.
Public engagement and stakeholder consultation continue to be vital to the success of this project. A second Public Information Centre will be held this Spring 2025 to provide further opportunities for feedback and input. Details of this meeting will be provided in a separate notice and posted to the project website, closer to the time.

Burlington is evolving from a suburban community to a city. The city is changing, especially in our downtown and parking plays a crucial role in this. The Burlington Downtown Parking Plan will help us determine future parking needs that support growth and land use in the downtown area. Having a strategic downtown parking plan will result in better parking options and financial sustainability.
Public engagement and stakeholder consultation is vital. A Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held to introduce the Downtown Parking Plan, provide details and preliminary results on activities completed to-date, and seek public and stakeholder feedback on the information presented. Project team representatives will be available to answer any questions you may have and discuss next steps.
Details:
- Date/Time: Tuesday, November 19, 2024, 6:30pm to 8:30pm
- Location: Art Gallery of Burlington
- The PIC will follow a drop-in format.
