ARU Incentive Program Training – Guidance on Project Completion, Payments & Next Steps

You are invited to an invite-only Virtual ARU Incentive Program Training Session hosted by the City of Burlington.

This session will provide hands-on guidance and support to help you complete your ARU project and prepare for the funding stage of the program.

We will walk you through key steps in the Project Completion phase, including documentation requirements, eligible costs, payment processing timelines, and next steps toward funding and occupancy in 2026.


Please note:

  • Building Permit applications must be submitted by December 1, 2025.
  • All permits must be issued by December 15, 2025.
  • Permit documents do not need to be submitted to the City (until your completion report) —we will be automatically notified once issued.


Session Dates include

  • Monday, December 8 – 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 10 – 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

     Focus on guidance, support, and next steps for the Project Completion phase.
  2. Eligible CIP Expenses and Documentation
     Review of eligible categories, effective dates, and submission requirements for reimbursement.
  3. Project Completion Report
     Step-by-step walkthrough of required documentation, proof of occupancy, and timing for submission.
  4. Payment Processing and Timelines
     How the City reviews and processes payment requests and anticipated turnaround times.
  5. Loan Agreement Highlights
     Overview of key terms, conditions, and next steps for execution in early 2026.
  6. Annual Reporting and Compliance
     Ongoing tenant/family occupancy confirmation, monitoring (2026–2036), and communication expectations.
